The “Dialog about Fakes 4.0” Forum Will Take Place in Moscow on September 22

On September 22, the “Dialog about Fakes 4.0” Forum will be held at the “Russia” National Center, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from 80 countries. During the forum, international experts, government officials, media representatives, and members of the business community will discuss ways to combat false information and exchange best practices and approaches on this issue. Delegates from the following countries are expected to attend: the United States, China, Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Singapore, Pakistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Indonesia, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Belgium, Tanzania, Togo, Mexico, Kyrgyzstan, and others.

The “Dialog about Fakes” forum has been held annually in Moscow since 2023. Today, it has become one of the world’s largest platforms for addressing the issue of false information. In 2025, the forum was held under the auspices of UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week.

The key topics of the 2026 forum will include: a discussion of the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and countering attempts at disinformation during the electoral process; the impact of fake news on various spheres of society — politics, the economy, and business; and current trends in the development of artificial intelligence and its application in the arts. A separate discussion session will be devoted to the issue of fraud targeting minors and the involvement of teenagers in cybercrime and other offenses via the Internet.

The forum will also present the results of research conducted by the ANPO “Dialog Regions” on fraud targeting children, as well as trends in children’s use of AI tools.

Speakers will include representatives from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Economic Crimes Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Central Bank of Russia, foreign experts in investigative journalism and fact-checking, as well as representatives from major technology companies and other relevant organizations.
