The second free online Global Fact-Checking Network (GFCN) webinar with experts on fact checking will be held on Tuesday, December 2.
As part of the GFCN educational program, the second webinar from the series of GFCN educational sessions in English will be held on December 2 at 12:00 (Moscow time, UTC+3). The webinar is intended for everyone who wants to stay informed of the latest trends in the development of artificial intelligence and learn how to safely apply new AI tools in practice.

12:00-12:05 — Moderator’s welcome speech from GFCN
12:05-12:40 — “Deepfakes as an actual type of information attacks”
Lily Ong, GFCN expert and Geopolitics360 analyst on geopolitics and cybersecurity, will examine in detail the nature of deepfakes as one of the most dangerous information attack tools. She will explain how manipulative videos are created, where they are most often used, and how they can be recognized.
12:50-13:10 — “Modern AI tools in the media sphere”
Mikhail Nestruev, PhD in Economics, member of the New Media School Expert Club, expert on the use of neural networks in business and PR, will present to the participants the possibilities of artificial intelligence in the modern media sphere, as well as explain how to use modern AI tools when conducting fact-checking investigations.
